participatory performance with drawing . life-size . 2013
For an art show themed on the "Home" I made a pencil drawing of a life-size house spider on paper and taped it to the wall. During the opening, while talking to somebody, I suddenly "noticed" the spider and went to get a glass to trap it. Standing with my arm raised, holding the cup against the wall, I convinced guests to hold the spider cup while I went to the bathroom or went to get a drink, etc. I would then abandon the guests holding the cup until one would inform me that the spider had escaped or been let go and I was obligated to come search for the escaped drawing.
